Aquila Art Glass Opaline knobs and pulls

Opaline gives Aquila's solid-color glass line: jade green, cobalt blue, burnt orange, a separate straight orange, red, and black, each worked to one dense color running straight through the glass rather than paired against white or another accent shade. Jade green, cobalt blue, and burnt orange ship as a knob and separately as a pull; orange, red, and black currently exist in only one shape apiece, at least for now, though that tends to shift as new batches come in from the glassmaker's studio.

What "opaline" means for the finish

Opaline glass is worked opaque and almost matte-dense rather than left clear or see-through, so light stops at the piece instead of passing through it the way it would with more transparent glass hardware. Color sits evenly across the whole piece, not pooled toward one edge the way thinner glass sometimes shows.

Burnt orange next to plain orange

These two orange options aren't duplicates: burnt orange skews darker and more muted, closer to terracotta, while the plain orange pull leans bright and saturated by comparison. Holding both against an actual cabinet sample beats comparing two photos side by side, because glass color shifts under changing kitchen light more than most finishes do.

Pairing solid colors with cabinet finishes

A single strong color like cobalt blue or burnt orange works best against a neutral cabinet — white, cream, gray — letting the knob carry color instead of fighting an already-bold cabinet paint. Black Opaline reads close to neutral on its own, pairing comfortably with almost any other cabinet color in the group.
