Organizers, vanities, and other large pieces ship at a per-item rate shown right in your cart — free shipping doesn't apply to these.

From Order to Doorstep

  1. We process in 1 business day

    In-stock hardware is typically processed within one business day. Custom and made-to-order pieces are built just for you and take longer — lead times vary by brand.

  2. Your order ships

    Most hardware ships via FedEx, UPS Ground, or USPS Priority Mail and arrives in about four days.

  3. Backordered? No problem

    We ship what's in stock right away and send the rest when it arrives — usually 7–10 business days, with no extra shipping charge for the split.

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & the US Virgin Islands: we ship via USPS Priority Mail — call us for a quote.

Outside the U.S.: contact us for international shipping quotes before placing your order.

Returns

We work hard to make returns rare — through free design consultations and a sample program that refunds your sample cost on your final order. But when a return is unavoidable, here's how it works.

Damaged, defective, or our mistake

If anything arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, we cover all costs of the return or replacement — every penny.

Just let us know within 24 hours of delivery so we can make it right quickly.

Changed your mind

Most stocked, non-custom hardware can be returned within 30 days of receipt in its original, unopened packaging, with a 25% restocking fee. If your order shipped free, the $9.95 shipping subsidy is deducted from your credit.

Placing a replacement order of equal or greater value? Ask us to waive the restocking fee.

After 30 days

Items generally aren't eligible for return after 30 days. We'll occasionally make case-by-case exceptions — usually when we can persuade the manufacturer to take the items back — and those returns are eligible for store credit only.

Not returnable

Custom, made-to-order, special-order, and manufacturer-discontinued items can't be returned. This includes products from Edgar Berebi, Jaye Design, Rocky Mountain Hardware, and other made-to-order brands.

How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us

    Call 1-800-530-8245, email cs@knobs.co, or log into your account to begin a return.

  2. Get your RA number

    Every return needs a return authorization number from our Client Services team before it ships back.

  3. Ship it back

    Send the items in their original, unopened packaging with your RA number, and we'll process your refund or credit.
