The color range behind Aquila Art Glass Reactive

Aquila Art Glass Reactive is a line of hand-worked glass knobs and pulls where each piece takes its color from the same reactive-glass process — metallic compounds shift and cloud slightly as the glass is formed, so no two pieces in a run land identically. What comes out of the kiln feels more like studio glass sitting on a shelf than a factory-finished knob, with a weight and cool touch that metal hardware doesn't have. Colors in the line run from Powder Blue and Neo-Lavender through Brick Red, Spring Green, and Sunflower Yellow, all set against clear glass that keeps the light moving instead of trapping it at the surface.

Where Reactive glass fits a kitchen or bath

This collection sits most naturally in a kitchen built in the Arts and Crafts style — glass knobs were common on cabinetry from that same design period, and the saturated, slightly variable color keeps that period feel without looking like a reproduction. It also works as an accent finish: a single drawer bank in Brick Red or Sunflower Yellow against neutral cabinetry comes across as an intentional accent, not something added on later. In a bathroom, the same knobs on a vanity pick up whatever daylight comes through a nearby window, which shifts their apparent color through the day.

Things to sort out before you order

Because color intensity varies piece to piece, source everything for one project in a single order if possible, and expect some variation from one knob to the next pull even within the same listed color. Square knobs and pin pulls are the two base shapes across the line, so measure existing drill holes against both before choosing. Glass hardware also mounts differently than metal in some cases, so check the backplate and screw length included with each piece rather than assuming standard cabinet hardware fasteners will fit.
