Du Verre Forged 3

Forged 3 is Du Verre's third pass at a hand-forged look in cabinet hardware, built almost entirely from bar pulls with squared-off ends, offered across a wide range of lengths, plus a matching square knob and round knob for doors. The artisan-inspired style tag fits: every pull has visible mass and edge, closer to blacksmith work than to a machined bar.

Flat bar versus square bar

Two profiles run through the collection. Flat bar pulls have a wider, flatter face, available in 6", 9", and 11-7/8" lengths, while square bar pulls have a squared-off cross-section and run a longer range, from 6" up to 17-1/4". The square bar's longer options make it the better fit for wide drawers or appliance panels where a flat bar would look too short.

How Forged 3 differs from Forged 2

Du Verre numbers its Forged collections rather than naming them separately, which means the differences between Forged 2 and Forged 3 come down to profile and proportion rather than a change in material or finish family. Comparing both side by side, or requesting one of each to hold, is the most reliable way to pick between them since photos alone can undersell how much heft each bar carries in hand.

Outfitting a kitchen with Forged 3

With lengths running from 6" up to over 17", Forged 3 handles small drawer fronts and full appliance panels alike, no collection-switching required. The 1-1/4" square knob and 1-1/2" round knob give doors a matching option, though the bar pulls carry most of this line's visual identity, not the knobs. Buyers drawn to the forged look but wanting more organic detailing should also look at Pomegranate.

Installing longer bar pulls

Anything past the 11-7/8" mark gets noticeably heavier, so checking the mounting hardware and the cabinet door's construction before ordering the longest options pays off. Thin veneer doors can flex under a 17-1/4" bar where solid wood won't, and that flex matters more with a heavier forged piece than with a lightweight machined pull.
