Reading the shape behind Du Verre Lotus

Du Verre Lotus builds one fanned motif into a run of knobs and a pull: sizes span 1 3/8" (C-WHL10), 2 3/8" (C-WHL09), 3 1/4" (C-WHL07), and 3 1/2" (C-WHL06), plus a 5 3/8" pull (C-WHL08). Each casting overlaps several raised segments that spread outward from a low center point, closer to a folded petal than a strict geometric form. Du Verre files Lotus under its artisan-inspired banner, and the segmented face explains why: light catches unevenly along the raised edges rather than reflecting flat the way a smooth cast knob would. Nothing about the shape reads as literal florals up close; the reference lives entirely in the silhouette.

Four knob sizes, one shared silhouette

C-WHL10 sits smallest at 1 3/8", proportioned for a drawer stile with tight side clearance. C-WHL09 steps up to 2 3/8", C-WHL07 to 3 1/4", and C-WHL06 tops the run at 3 1/2", sized for a full-height cabinet panel. All four keep the identical fanned profile at a different diameter, so moving between sizes across adjoining drawers and doors changes only scale, never shape. Placing C-WHL09 next to C-WHL07 on the same drawer bank is the clearest way to judge how much the fan pattern opens up as diameter grows.

Where the 5 3/8-inch pull comes in

C-WHL08 stretches the same segmented casting into a horizontal pull, proportioned to center on a standard drawer front with room to spare on both sides. Paired with C-WHL07 or C-WHL06 on nearby doors, the fan pattern carries across from drawer to door rather than stopping at one piece. On a modern-leaning project, that continuity does more to tie the room together than any single knob manages alone; a plain pull nearby would cut the segmented reflection short partway through the run.

Two other Du Verre surfaces to hold against Lotus

Pomegranate trades Lotus's folded-petal read for a pitted, fruit-inspired surface at a comparable range of sizes. Stacked drops the organic reference altogether, cutting straight parallel grooves across the face instead. Holding a Lotus knob next to either one under your own lighting settles the choice faster than comparing catalog photos.
