Edgar Berebi Jamestown early-colonial cabinet hardware
Edgar Berebi Jamestown is the brand's early-colonial Virginia family, named for the first permanent English settlement in North America and built around late-17th-century colonial decorative reference. Where Georgetown reads as later Federal-period Washington and Americana covers the broad early-American tradition, Jamestown anchors in the earliest American-colonial vocabulary. Heavier teardrop bails, plain pewter-style knob faces. It a quieter, more austere relief than the brand's later-period lines. Each piece is hand-finished in the United States and built per order; expect 6-8 weeks from order to door.
What sets Jamestown apart
The teardrop bail is the line's identifier. Most Berebi pulls use scrolled or ornamented bails; Jamestown runs a heavy, plain teardrop drawn from late-17th-century English-colonial drop pulls, paired with a simple round or oval knob face. The vocabulary keeps the line distinctly pre-Federal, suited to early-American Tidewater architecture rather than later Georgian or Federal-revival kitchens. The line reads consistent against the cabinetry it was designed for. Hand finishing means subtle piece-to-piece variation is expected rather than a defect.
Buying considerations
Jamestown fits early-colonial Tidewater kitchens, Williamsburg-influenced bathrooms, plantation-house built-ins, and any room reaching for late-17th-century English-colonial vocabulary. Painted inset cabinetry in deep oxblood, milk-paint blue, mustard, and chimney-grey gives the line the right backdrop. Brushed antique brass reads most period-truthful. The 6-8 week made-to-order window applies.
