Two finishes, one casting: black body, gold edge

This brushed matte black and gold hardware isn't a single plated color, it's two: brushed matte black covering most of each piece, a brushed gold line worked into the same casting. Jeffrey Alexander's Key Grande and Larkin collections supply nearly everything sampled, bar-style knobs, drawer pulls, and appliance-length pulls, all built the same way.

Tracing the gold line

On Larkin's bar pulls, gold typically traces the top or bottom edge, visible mostly under direct light instead of announcing itself from across a kitchen. Key Grande's shorter bar knob carries the same split at a smaller scale, a natural pairing with Larkin's longer drawer pulls. On the appliance-length pulls, that same edge treatment runs the full distance, so a wide refrigerator panel keeps one continuous gold line rather than the accent stopping partway.

One line, sized for every drawer and door

Larkin spans 60mm bar pulls up through 305mm, plus 12-inch and 18-inch appliance pulls for wider panels. Staying inside one line keeps the black-to-gold ratio consistent door to door; a different manufacturer's take on the same two-tone idea won't necessarily split the color the same way. Key Grande's knob works well as the lone accent on upper cabinets, paired with Larkin's longer pulls where lower drawers need more grip. Every size in the run keeps the identical width ratio between black and gold, so moving between a short knob and a long appliance pull doesn't change how the two tones balance against each other.

Best matched to existing fixtures

A mixed finish like this earns its place next to fixtures that already lean toward one half of the pairing, gold faucets, matte black plumbing, not a kitchen starting from a blank slate. Introducing it partway through an already-finished kitchen usually goes easier on new cabinetry than on a partial remodel, since matching the exact ratio against hardware already hung is harder than starting fresh.
