Brushed nickel cabinet knobs paired with matte black accents

Brushed nickel cabinet hardware takes on a different character when Berenson pairs the knobs and pulls with a matte black bar or body. The Studio Remix line puts brushed nickel on the posts and hardware ends while the pull body stays matte black; Rivet Rebel flips the emphasis, using an aluminum bar pull with brushed nickel accent posts standing out at each end.

Why pair nickel with black instead of using it alone

Straight brushed nickel hardware reads clean but can disappear against light or medium cabinetry under normal kitchen lighting. Adding matte black gives the pull a visible outline and more presence on the door, while the nickel keeps the piece from reading as heavy or overly dark the way an all-black pull can on a pale door. It sits between all-black hardware and all-nickel hardware as a middle option.

Two constructions, one finish combination

Studio Remix pulls are stainless steel, offered across four different center-to-center lengths, with a matching appliance pull sized for wide drawers. Rivet Rebel is aluminum and covers a similar span, from its shortest bar pull up to the same appliance-pull size, though the exposed post construction gives the nickel accent more visual presence there than it gets on the enclosed Studio Remix body.

Matching considerations

Because both metals appear on every piece, matching is more forgiving than a pure metal finish. You're keeping the black-to-nickel ratio consistent piece to piece across a kitchen, not chasing a single tone across every fixture the way you would with a straight nickel or straight black order. That forgiveness helps explain why two-tone hardware has become a common fallback when a remodel mixes old and new fixtures in slightly different metals.
