Silver antique cabinet hardware in the Sunburst design

Silver antique cabinet hardware carries a softly tarnished tone worked into ornamental casting, never left flat and untouched. Schaub's Sunburst line accounts for nearly everything shown here: a bail pull framed by a rosette, a ring pull backed by its own plate, a simple pull with no backing at all, plus round knobs offered in two diameters, the smaller one paired with a matching plate beneath it.

What the Sunburst pattern adds to the finish

Sunburst pieces carry raised, radiating lines cast straight into the metal, a fan shape spreading out from a center point on every piece. That detail is where silver antique earns its keep: the darkened tone pools deeper inside each groove than across the raised, flatter surface between them, giving the casting more shadow and dimension than a plain silver-antique knob could ever show.

Backplate or bare, depending on the door

A number of Sunburst pieces arrive with a matching plate already attached, handy for covering an older cabinet's existing screw pattern once a previous pull sat at a slightly different spacing. The bare pull and the standalone knobs suit fronts that are already clean, with no old holes needing cover. Rosettes framing the bail pull handle that same job on a tighter footprint, wrapping each mounting point individually instead of running one wide plate beneath both.

What kitchens suit this look?

Sunburst's radiating detail reads as period hardware, closer to something colonial or classically traditional than to a bare, minimalist build. Furniture-style cabinetry, raised panel doors, and other ornate metal already in a room, brass sconces especially, give it visual company; the aged tone and cast pattern both lean toward something collected over years, not fresh off a build.

Comparing chrome and brass

Want a brighter, mirror-like silver without the tarnished cast? Chrome covers the polished end of that same color family. If warmth matters more than a silver tone, brass carries similarly ornate casting under a gold finish.
