The Jeffrey Alexander Lyon Collection pairs an oval knob with a cup pull, also called a bin pull. The oval knob is 1-9/16 inches long, and the cup pull is 3 inches center-to-center. Both are offered in a wide range of finishes, so doors and drawers can match across a room.

Where the knob and the cup pull go

The oval knob needs only one hole and suits cabinet doors and small drawers. The cup pull has a lip that fingers hook under, which is why it is a familiar choice on kitchen drawers, built-in cabinetry, and bath vanity drawers. Knobs on the doors and cup pulls on the drawers is a long-standing traditional arrangement, and it works well when both pieces share a finish.

Sizing and spacing

Three inches center-to-center is about 76 mm, a common drilling for drawer pulls. Measure from the center of one screw hole to the center of the other on your existing cabinets and match that number, because a pull with different spacing means drilling new holes. On wide drawers, designers often use a pair of pulls spaced evenly instead of a single one.

Choosing a finish

Finish does most of the work in the room. Echo your faucet, lighting, and appliance handles, and keep knobs and pulls in the same finish. Dark, warm metals read traditional against painted cabinets, while lighter metals read cleaner.
