Notting Hill All Creatures animal knobs

All Creatures pulls together Notting Hill Hardware's widest range of animal figures cast in pewter: an elephant called Goliath, a rooster, a pair of rabbits, a cicada resting on leaves, a dragonfly, a leaping frog, and a second scene called Jungle Patrol. Frog alone comes backed by four wood options, dark walnut, natural, cherry, maple, so identical pewter casting reads differently depending on which wood shows through behind it. Ten designs sit across this group in total, spanning knobs, pulls, and the four wood-backed frog variants, more range than any other single Notting Hill animal line offers today.

How the wood-backed pieces work

Notting Hill mounts certain pewter figures, Leap Frog and Jungle Patrol among them, against a small panel of real wood visible behind the casting, rather than leaving the knob as bare metal. That backing wood deserves matching to a cabinet's own wood tone, not chosen on the animal alone; a warm cherry cabinet beside a cool maple-backed frog knob fights visually even with an identical pewter figure sitting on top.

Choosing knobs versus pulls

Most animal figures here, Goliath, rooster, rabbits, arrive as knobs sized for doors and small drawers. Dragonfly and cicada on leaves are the two designs also offered as pulls, fitting a wider drawer needing a two-point grip instead of one knob. A pantry or hutch door with narrow stiles suits the knob format better than either pull does.

Rooms that suit this line

A children's bathroom or a playful mudroom gives an entire cast of animal knobs room to look intentional; so does a kitchen already leaning colorful and informal. In a formal or monochrome kitchen, one or two pieces, Goliath alone on a pantry door, say, go further than a different creature turning up on every drawer.
