Bathroom / Toilet Brush Containers

Toilet brush containers: glass, porcelain, or neither

Toilet brush containers cabinet hardware in this Smedbo Outline group, sized for a bathroom floor near the toilet, offers one chrome holder in two container materials: frosted glass or white porcelain. Both hide the brush head from view once it drops back inside, the container's whole job, but the two materials feel and behave differently day to day around a busy household. Weight gives away which material a shopper is holding before the label does.

Glass chips, porcelain absorbs the hit

Frosted glass stays visually lighter next to pale bathroom fixtures, though a hard knock against the chrome base can chip the rim over time. Porcelain runs heavier and shrugs off that same contact better, more like a ceramic soap dish underfoot than glassware in the hand. Neither material changes how the brush itself lifts out of the holder once it's needed. A household deciding between the two is really deciding how much noise a dropped brush handle should make against the base.

One base, two fixtures combined

Outline Toilet Roll Holder freestanding/toilet Brush combines a backup roll holder and a brush container finished in frosted glass on one floor-standing base, useful once wall space for two separate fixtures runs out. Both functions staying on one base also guarantees a matched chrome tone, something not automatic when sourcing a roll holder and a brush holder apart.

Xtra sells just the insert

Xtra Porcelain Container skips the chrome base entirely, offering only the container piece sized to drop into an existing holder or stand alone on its own. Check this option first whenever only the container itself needs swapping, not the full assembly underneath it, since a full replacement usually costs more than the job actually requires. Confirm the existing base's model before ordering, since the container sizing isn't universal across every Smedbo line.
