Schaub and Company Baker Collection cabinet hardware
The Baker Collection is Schaub and Company's edge-pull line built on a squared, stepped grip rather than a rounded handle. Baker shares the brand's flush-mount edge format, but it reads heavier and more geometric than the brand's slimmer blade pulls, giving plain doors a defined edge.
What identifies the Baker look
Baker Edge pulls present a blocky front lip that sits proud of the drawer face, with crisp shoulders instead of a soft taper. The squared profile catches the hand on a flat plane, so the grip feels substantial without projecting far from the cabinet. The line runs a short size ladder, 4-inch and 5-inch center-to-center, with overall lengths roughly an inch beyond the bore. That tight overhang keeps multiple pulls from crowding across a bank of drawers. Finishes cover the full Schaub spread: satin brass, unlacquered brass, polished nickel, brushed nickel, gun metal, and matte black.
Buying considerations
Baker fits transitional and contemporary cabinetry where the door is plain and the hardware supplies the line work. The two spacings handle most upper doors and drawer fronts, keeping a run consistent without switching profiles. Gun metal and matte black give a recessive, modern read, while satin and unlacquered brass warm the same shape for a softer scheme. Baker is pull-only, so for cabinet doors choose a complementary knob from the broader Schaub range rather than expecting a matching profile here. The flush mounting also limits snag points, useful on lower cabinets in a working kitchen where a projecting handle would be in the way.
