Inside Smedbo's Living collection
The Smedbo Living collection is a modular system built around bathroom grab bars, not a stand-alone cabinet hardware product: straight bars, L-shaped bars, and a foldable version, plus companion pieces, a shelf, a hook, a basket, a holder for spare toilet paper, that mount directly onto the bar itself, skipping separate wall mounting. Nearly everything in the line comes in chromed stainless steel, with a black stainless option that adds more contrast, and the fixing points and end parts needed to join sections are sold as their own listed pieces rather than bundled in automatically.
A system, not a set of standalone hooks
What separates Living from a typical accessory line is that its shelf, hook, and basket pieces attach directly to the grab bar rather than mounting to the wall on their own. A T-connection piece even lets a second bar branch off the first at a right angle, useful for a shower stall where support is needed along two walls rather than one. This system suits a bathroom needing grab-bar support without a clinical, medical look, since the accessories double as normal bathroom fixtures, a shelf for shampoo, a hook for a towel, once mounted.
Bar length and fixing points to plan around
Bar lengths span the collection, running from a compact 400mm bar to a longer 1230mm L-shaped version, so the layout of your shower or tub wall will largely dictate which length and configuration fit. Every piece needs a solid wall structure capable of bearing real weight behind it, worth confirming before tile goes up, since a grab bar is only as strong as what it's screwed into. Choose chromed stainless for a brighter look, or black stainless if the bathroom's other fixtures run darker, and plan the L-shaped connection pieces alongside the straight runs if the layout calls for a corner.
