What sets Smedbo's Outline collection apart in cabinet hardware

Outline is Smedbo's freestanding and furniture side of the catalog: a shower chair, freestanding towel rails, and LED-lit makeup mirrors sit alongside more familiar wall-mounted pieces like a soap pump and a lidded porcelain toilet brush set. Most Smedbo lines mount flush to the wall, but Outline includes pieces built to stand on the floor or plug in. A double towel rail, also freestanding, gives a bathroom more hanging space than one rail alone could offer.

The freestanding and electric pieces

The LED mirrors come in two options, a single 5x magnification model and a dual two-sided 5x-and-normal version, both wired rather than battery-powered, so an outlet or hardwired connection near the vanity is worth planning for before ordering. The shower and vanity chair and the freestanding towel rails don't mount to anything; they're placed, not installed, which suits a bathroom without an option to drill.

What's still wall-mounted

Outline's wall-mounted soap pump and toilet brush holder, the latter with a porcelain glass container, share a matching polished chrome finish with the freestanding pieces, so a household can mix the two with no break in finish. The porcelain container adds a softer material against the chrome hardware, a detail worth noting if the room's other fixtures lean entirely metal.

Planning around the electric pieces

Check wiring or outlet placement early if a lighted mirror is on the order, since retrofitting power to a vanity after the wall is finished costs more than planning for it up front. Freestanding pieces need floor space that a wall-mounted rail wouldn't, so measure clearance around the shower chair or towel rail before finalizing a small bathroom's layout. Because these pieces need no drilling into tile or drywall, they let a rental unit or a home with walls best left untouched gain fixtures anyway.
